When I was contacted by BlogHer about an opportunity to review the new Suave Professionals® Moroccan Infusion Body Care, I was all in. I’d first tried the line’s shampoo and conditioner a month or so before and loved both the smell and the softness of my hair. When I heard they were making a lotion as well, I knew I had to try it.
A few weeks ago I wrote a post about dealing with The Winter Blues. Well, along with a less than stellar mood, winter also comes with dry skin, especially for me. I always carry lotion around in my purse. Sometimes I even get up in the middle of the night to put on lotion because my skin is so dry that I can’t fall back asleep. Because of this, I try to be more conscious about putting on lotion in the winter and I was more than happy to try out Sauve Professionals® new moisturizing products.
Suave Professionals® sent me two different products, their daily Body Lotion and their Dry Body Oil Spray. Here is some information from Suave Professionals® about the line:

In college a friend convinced me to buy a great curling gel for my hair made with Moroccan argan oil and I loved how soft it made my hair. However, I never bought it again because it was so expensive! Suave Professionals® makes great quality products more affordable for those of us on a budget or who don’t want to spend tons of money on beauty products.
So what did I think of their lotion and body oil?
Well, I’m not going to lie – when I saw the body oil I laughed. Body oil? Really? I was skeptical, but I tried it and I was surprised how much I liked it. Once I sprayed it on and lightly rubbed it into my skin it wasn’t oily at all, just moisturizing (how many times do you think I can say moisturizing in one post..?) and it added a sheen or healthy glow to my skin. I’ll probably save the oil for more special occasions rather than just daily use so I don’t use it all up too quickly!
As for the body lotion, I was already using a Suave body lotion, so it’s fairly similar to what I’m used to. It blends smoothly into my skin and is lightweight – it absorbs quickly so I don’t feel like I just oiled up (yep, I said it). The only difference was the smell – which I LOVE. If you’re looking for a lotion that smells great (like spices and the beach), but is not overpowering, then definitely give this a try.
