Law Firm of Lucas & Mercanti Moves into Space at 30 Broad Street in NYC

The law firm of Lucas & Mercanti signed a 10-year lease for the 21st floor at 30 Broad Street in New York City, according to the Commercial Observer. The lease is for a space that is 14,880 in square-footage.

CompStak is reporting that the firm will be paying rent in the mid-$30’s per square foot of space they rent on the 21st floor. The firm is located at 475 Park Avenue South right now. A new lease was signed for the 43rd floor by Think Passenger and it seems as though they are paying roughly the same amount per square foot.

Lucas & Mercanti represents nonprofits, startups, universities, corporations and other clients in the intellectual property law spectrum. In 2013, the firm was ranked in the top 100 of patent law firms in the country by Intellectual Property Today.

The landlord is represented by Richard Doolittle and John P. Howard of MHP Realty Services. The landlord is Gotham Realty Holdings. Steve Eynon, Alan Freidman and Chris Corrinet from CBRE were the representatives for the law firm in the real estate deal. No comments were made by either side about the deal.

The building that the firm is moving into is also referred to as The New York Stock Exchange Building. Some other tenants in the building include Bank of New York, Posner Advertising, the New York Stock Exchange and MAXIMUS.
