Perkins Coie Adds Lorelie S. Masters in Their Washington, D.C. Office

The law firm of Perkins Coie has announced that Lorelie S. Masters has joined the office in Washington, D.C., according to a press release. Masters is joining the firm in the Insurance Recovery Group. She is formerly a partner at Jenner & Block LLP, also in D.C.

“We’re thrilled  to welcome an attorney of Lorie’s caliber and accomplishments to Perkins Coie’s insurance practice in DC,” said Bill Malley, Managing Partner of the firm’s Washington, DC office.  “She has an extraordinary reputation that is backed by her winning track record, her extensive writing and her contributions to the bar.  We are delighted to welcome Lorie to Perkins Coie’s expanding Washington presence.”

Masters has more than 30 years representing policyholders.

“Lorie’s addition strategically strengthens the depth and breadth of our national policyholder practice,” said Don Friedman, chair of Perkins Coie’s Insurance Recovery Group.  “Her extensive experience complements the legal talent that already exist in our rapidly growing practice group.  We warmly welcome her into our firm.”

Masters graduated from Notre Dame Law School with her J.D. and from Georgetown University with her A.B., cum laude.

From 2000 to 2003, Masters served as the national policyholder chair of the American Bar Association’s Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee. She currently serves on the ABA Gender Equity Task Force, which she joined back in 2012.

Jim Vassallo: Jim is a freelance writer based out of the suburbs of Philadelphia in New Jersey. Jim earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and minor in Journalism from Rowan University in 2008. While in school he was the Assistant Sports Director at WGLS for two years and the Sports Director for one year. He also covered the football, baseball, softball and both basketball teams for the school newspaper 'The Whit.' Jim lives in New Jersey with his wife Nicole, son Tony and dog Phoebe.
