The controversial former Deputy Executive Director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Bill Baroni, has joined Hill Wallack LLP 
as counsel. Baroni, who is a former representative of the 14th legislative district in the New Jersey Senate and General Assembly, resigned from his position in the Port Authority after the Fort Lee lane closure controversy at the George Washington Bridge. He is currently a named defendant in a federal class action lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Baroni is the only Republican state senator to have voted for a 2010 measure to allow same-sex marriage in New Jersey.
Hill Wallack LLP is a regional law firm with offices in Princeton and Morristown, New Jersey, and in Yardley, Pennsylvania.

Baroni has a strong legal career besides his political career to boost him up. He started his legal career as an associate at DeCotiis, Fitzpatrick & Cole, and then at Blank Rome. Later he became counsel at a local Hamilton law firm, Fornaro Francioso. He also served as chief counsel to Congressman Bob Franks.

Baroni has been an adjunct professor at the Seton Hall University School of Law since 2002, where he teaches classes on Professional Responsbility, voting rights, legislation and campaign finance reform. He has also served on the Foundation Board of both the Mercer County Community College and The College of New Jersey.
He is is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, and the District of Columbia. He earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and his B.A., magna cum laude, in history from George Washington University.
In 2012, he co-authored a book Fat Kid Got Fit, and So Can You, chronicling his early struggles with obesity and how he overcame his problems.
