Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP announced today that Breen Haire has joined the Firm’s Corporate Practice as a partner in its Houston office. He is seen as an important addition to the law firm’s growing energy practice and oil and gas related work. Haire leaves Baker Botts L.L.P. to join Simpson Thacher.
Haire focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions especially involving energy companies and master limited partnerships in the oil and gas exploration and production, oilfield services, midstream, petrochemical and related sectors and contract drilling. Since establishing the Houston office in 2011, Simpson Thatcher’s energy practice has advised clients on more than 370 energy related transactions with a gross worth exceeding $425 billion.
