Police in North Carolina arrested a man who posed as a podiatry student while in Wal-Mart and then sucked on the toes of a female customer, according to The Washington Post.
The man told the woman that he was a podiatry student when she protested to his actions. Police have been receiving multiple complaints of issues such as this one at both Kmart and Wal-Mart in the local area.
Dennis Harris, a detective in Lincolnton, said that the man tried to do the same thing on Monday at a Wal-Mart 15 miles away. The man told a female customer that he was conducting a survey on the feet of different nationalities and races.
The woman in the second incident agreed to remove her shoes, but walked away when the man asked her to take off her socks.
Arrested in the incident was 31-year-old Michael Brown. He was taken into custody by Lincolnton police. He was charged with assault on a female.
According to WCNC, Erika Porras was shopping on Monday when Brown asked if he could help her try on shoes at the store. He told her, ‘Follow me to shoe department.’ Porras thought that Brown worked at the store and said she would try on shoes with Brown.
‘He said, ‘I need to take a picture for research,’ and when he did, he stuck her foot in his mouth,’” according to Erika’s daughter Kattie.
“He said, ‘Sorry ma’am. Please, please, please.’”
Brown is a registered sex offender after being convicted in 2001 for breaking into a home in Concord and sucking on a woman’s toes.
