Jay Sullivan Leaves Goodwin Procter to Join DLA Piper in Boston

DLA Piper has announced that Jeremiah J. “Jay” Sullivan has joined the firm’s Corporate and Finance practice as a partner in the Boston office.

Sullivan, who joins DLA Piper from Goodwin Procter LLP , is a member of the Boston and American Bar associations, and serves on the ABA’s Committee on Negotiated Acquisitions, which produces the Private Target Mergers & Acquisitions Deal Points Study, a widely cited resource on M&A deal terms.

Sullivan’s experience includes US and cross-border transactions and spans a wide range of industries, including clean-tech and alternative energy; manufacturing; health care; education; software and information technology; media and telecommunications; financial services; and investment management.

Sullivan focuses his practice on advising venture capital, growth equity and private equity investors in a broad array of complex M&A, investment and corporate finance transactions, and advising emerging and mature companies on corporate and governance matters throughout their life cycle. He also represents executives and management teams in the negotiation of their employment, compensation and equity ownership in transactions with strategic buyers and financial sponsors.

Jay Sullivan earned a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, a M.A. from the University of Portland, and a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
