Google Glass Available for Purchase Today

Google Glass became available for anyone wanting to purchase the product in the United States at 9 a.m. ET on Tuesday morning. The product was only available for a special group of beta testers, known as the Google Glass Explorers, according to Mashable. The sale is for just one day only and it has a limited number of spots available. Google did not elaborate as to how many people would be able to purchase the product.

The company announced its plans in a blog post last week, saying, “Every day, we get requests from those of you who haven’t found a way into the program yet, and we want your feedback too. So in typical Explorer Program fashion, we’re trying something new.”

It will cost you a pretty penny to purchase the product, $1,500-plus tax, but Google said it would throw in a shade or frames of your choice.

Google also made sure to apologize to all other countries for only offering it to United States consumers. Google said that it is “just not ready yet to bring Glass to other countries.”

To purchase Google Glass you will need to be at least 18 years old and have a mailing address in the United States. You can use Google Glass to browse the internet, take photos and even record stop motion video.
