Jenny McCarthy, a co-host of “The View,” is engaged to Donnie Wahlberg. Wahlberg currently stars on the CBS drama “Blue Bloods.” McCarthy is a former Playboy model. She announced on the ABC morning show that, “I just got engaged!” McCarthy made the announced on Wednesday’s show, according to CNN.
She showed off her engagement ring, which has a yellow sapphire stone on it.
Wahlberg asked McCarthy for her hand in marriage last weekend. He enlisted the help of McCarthy’s 11-year-old son, Evan. Wahlberg appeared on Wednesday’s edition of “The View” with McCarthy.
Wahlberg tweeted “#Happy.”
This is the second marriage for McCarthy, who divorced husband John Asher back in 2005. Wahlberg will also be entering his second marriage. He divorced Kim Fey in 2008.
McCarthy and Wahlberg started their romance this past summer, but McCarthy had not been too keen on marrying a second time. Around November, she said that she was opening up to the idea again.
“You know, I’ve said on every interview that I was like, ‘Never, I’ll never get married again, ever,’ and, of course, you never say never,” McCarthy told Bethenny Frankel on “Bethenny.” “I think he would be an amazing husband, so if he does (propose), I would for sure say yes.”
