On the popular website Cheezburger.com, there is an article posted with an accompanying video titled, “WTF of the Day: Texas Teacher Fired After Giving a 15 Year Old Student a Lap Dance in Front of Class for His Birthday.” The video is a two minute and twenty second report on what they call the real life version of a bad teacher. The school scandal is centered on a 42 year old teacher in downtown Houston, Texas accused of giving a student a lap dance in the classroom.
The Aldine Independent School District teacher is accused of giving a middle school student a lap dance on his birthday in front of other students. According to court documents, 42-year-old Felicia Smith stopped the teenage boy from going to his next class and the entire class told him to sit down in a chair placed in the front of the room. The Houston Chronicle reported that his teacher, Felicia Smith, then gave the boy a “full-contact lap dance” and the boy told authorities she touched him all over his body.
According to documents, At the end of the four-minute long lap dance, Ms. Smith wrapped her arms around the student and he gave her bottom another squeeze. It has been reported his teacher then hugged him and said “I love you, baby, happy birthday.”
The school district told KHOU in a statement that, “A criminal charge of engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a student has been filed against a Stovall Middle School teacher. The charge was filed by Aldine Independent School District Police, who investigated the case along with the campus administration,” and that “The teacher was removed from the campus during the investigation and has not returned. The district takes this allegation seriously and is fully cooperating with prosecutors. The safety and security of our students will continue to be a top priority in Aldine ISD.” According to Houston CBS Local, Felicia Smith has been charged with an improper relationship with a student and has had her bail set at $30,000.
