The law firm of Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced via a press release that 23 of its lawyers have been named to the 2014 Super Lawyers list. This is an independent rating service of lawyers from more than 70 practice areas. The list also named eight lawyers from the firm as Southwest Rising Stars.
“Every one of our attorneys on these lists is deserving of the independent recognition by Super Lawyers,” said John E. Cummerford, a co-managing shareholder in Greenberg Traurig’s Phoenix office. “We are extremely proud of the work they do for our clients, both here in our local office, and nationally. We are truly gratified that year-to-year the number of Greenberg Traurig attorneys on these lists has grown so significantly.”

Eight of the lawyers who were named to the Super Lawyers list were also given the distinction of being named to the Southwest Super Lawyers “The Top 50 Lawyers” list. Those eight lawyers include Brian H. Blaney, David D. Cleary, John E. Cummerford, Nicole Maroulakos Goodwin, Brian J. Schulman, Jeffrey H. Verbin, Jeffrey E. Walsh and Quinn P. Williams.
Five of the attorneys named to the Super Lawyers list were also named to the Southwest Super Lawyers “The Top 25 Arizona Women” list. Those lawyers are Rebecca Lynne Burnham, Nicole Maroulakos Goodwin, Stacey F. Gottlieb, Pamela Risoleo Overton and Lesa J. Storey.

The Phoenix office for the firm had 70 percent of its attorneys named to the list. This gives the firm the highest percentage of named lawyers in the 2014 rankings for the state of Arizona.

Sorensen, Lesa J. Storey, Jeffrey H. Verbin, Jeffrey E. Walsh and Quinn P. Williams.
The eight lawyers named to the “Southwest Rising Stars” list include Katherine V. Brown, Nedda R. Gales, Dana L. Hooper, Nathan Mitchler, Masha Shmukler, Laura Sixkiller, Katherine A. Swenson and Jeremy D. Zangara.
