John Eads III Joins National Law Firm Wilson Elser

Civil litigation attorney John T. Eads III has joined the AmLaw 200 firm Wilson Elser’s Michigan office as a partner. The law firm opened its Michigan office this April, and Eads is expected to help the firm significantly in running the new office.

Others who have joined the firm’s Michigan office include Darice Weber, of counsel; Concetta Moceri-Louzon, associate; Carol Smith, paralegal; and three support staff.

Daniel J. McMahon, the Chairman of Wilson Elser said, “Our growth strategy has always been cautiously opportunistic, expanding within our core practice areas with laterals who share common goals and values …We have known and worked with John for years and are thrilled to have such an accomplished, skilled attorney on board. His outstanding litigation and trial skills will undoubtedly benefit our clients nationwide.”

Eads has more than 24 years of experience in handling high-exposure medical malpractice cases. He has dealt with catastrophic injury matters, and helped in defending claims in trucking, product liability and environmental matters. In addition, he also handles general liability, legal malpractice defense, business and employment disputes, contract actions and municipal/school liability matters. His clientele comprises regional and national companies that include insurers, commercial businesses and trucking companies.

According to Eads, Wilson Elser’s national platform and shared practice areas will enable him to provide his clients with high-quality representation in jurisdictions where he is not admitted to practice.

In turn, “Wilson Elser’s clients will benefit from his ability to win cases,” added McMahon.  He said that Eads is an attorney who has the ability to move in and provide the kind of litigation and trial support that clients need to win.

Eads is AV® Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, is included in Michigan’s Super Lawyers (2006-2014), a Top Lawyer for Detroit Business, a 2013 Top Rated Lawyer in Insurance Law, and one of Michigan’s Top 25 Leaders in Law by Michigan Lawyers Weekly.
