Los Angeles police have confirmed that Justin Bieber has been accused of an attempted robbery at the Sherman Oaks Castle Park in the Los Angeles area Tuesday night.
The incident was reported by the victim on Monday night about 10:30 p.m. West Coast time. She said Justin Bieber grabbed her cellphone when he suspected she was taking photos of him, police said.
According to TMZ, the woman was with her 13 year old daughter at the park and said Bieber started screaming at the two and telling the woman she was “humiliating” herself in front of her child, who started to cry.
He grabbed her phone out of her purse to check if photos had been taken when Bieber and his crew got into an altercation with people at the park’s batting cages. According to the woman, Bieber returned her phone. The victim was interviewed by police Tuesday evening.
According to Police Officer Rosario Herrera, Bieber had not been questioned by police or arrested as of Tuesday. The incident happened in the Devonshire district in the San Fernando Valley and she did not believe the alleged victim was hurt. It was not clear what sorts of items might have been sought in the incident.
