Two 12-Year-Old Girls in Custody After Planned Stabbing of Friend

According to police in Waukesha, Wisconsin, two girls have been charged with stabbing and trying to kill a friend. Police Chief Russell Jack said that two girls, both 12, are being held by police on charges of attempted first-degree intentional homicide, according to WISN. Police believe the girls will be charged as adults in this case, but their names have yet to be released since they are juveniles.

Around 9:50 a.m. on Saturday morning, police officers were notified by a passerby that a 12-year-old girl was stabbed near Big Bend Road.

Chief Jack told WISN that the girl was lured to a wooded area near the intersection reported by a passerby. She was stabbed some 19 times in the legs, arm and torso. Officers said that the victim crawled out of the woods and made it to the road. This is where someone on a bicycle found her and made the report to police.

The girl was rushed into surgery and is still in stable condition. The suspects were found after an hours-long search and taken into custody without any problems. According to police, the two girls “had planned to kill the victim for several months prior to this incident.”

Police said that all three went to the same school and were thought to be friends. The police chief also said that the suspects were interested in a website “which was a collection of small stories about death and horror.”

One of the suspects was ordered held on $500,000 bail because she was thought to be the mastermind of the plot.
