A man who was caught trespassing on the property of Sandra Bullock early on Sunday morning has been arrested, according to the Daily Mail. The LA Times reported that Bullock was home during the incident, per Muria Vanegas of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The trespassing incident occurred close to 6:30 a.m., not long after Bullock accepted an award at Spike TV’s Guys’ Choice Awards ceremony.
The suspect has been called the ‘hot prowler’ because he strikes when the residents are home. He was taken into custody at the West Los Angeles house of Bullock. The suspect, 39, was in the yard of the house checking things out when police officers arrived.
Authorities do not know if the suspect was trying to burglarize the house or if he was stalking Bullock.
Just hours prior to the incident, Bullock was given the ‘Decade of Hotness’ award at the Spike ceremony. The award was presented to her by three leading men she has worked with in movies. They include Keanu Reeves, Matthew McConaughey and Hugh Grant. Bullock was presented with a sash, a tiara, a pair of golden ‘Mantlers’ and a bouquet of red roses. Bullock has a four-year-old son, Louis, whom she adopted in 2010 from New Orleans. Neither she nor her son were injured in the incident.
