Quarles & Brady LLP announced last week via a press release that Claire L. Winnard joined the firm in its Chicago office as an attorney within the Labor & Employment Practice Group.
Winnard worked for Jones Day in the firm’s Chicago office as an attorney. She focuses her practice on representing management in labor and employment issues. Winnard has represented employers involving cases in Illinois, California and federal law areas. The cases she has worked include harassment, discrimination and complex wage and hour class actions.
Winnard has also provided counsel for employers regarding their employment practices and policies.
Winnard earned her law degree from Northwestern University School of Law. She earned a master’s degree in Elementary Education from Pace University. She earned her undergraduate degree in Music from the University of Miami. Winnard graduated cum laude from law school, cum laude when she earned her Master’s degree and cum laude when she earned her undergraduate degree.
She is a member of the State Bar of California, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the KIPP Chicago Charter School Associate Board and Teach for America. She has taught third grade during her career, back in New York’s Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn.
