The law firm of Foley & Lardner LLP announced via a press release on Monday that Chris Laukenmann joined the firm in its Los Angeles office. He will work in the Finance & Financial Institutions, Private Equity & Venture Capital and Transactional & Securities practices.
Laukenmann has been advising Fortune 500 companies for more than 20 years. He represents clients involving investment, capital, governance, corporate strategy, risk management, treasury, regulatory and reorganization issues.
Laukenmann has worked as the assistant general counsel for Transamerica and Aegon, its merger partner. He has also worked as the vice president/legal of Great Western Bank. He was responsible for overseeing finance, banking, real estate, insurance, brokerage, deposit and mortgage transactions.
“Given his in-house legal and law firm experience, Chris offers clients a holistic perspective in developing smart business strategies that drive results,” said Richard W. Lasater, II, chair of Foley’s Business Law Department, according to the press release from the firm. “His deep knowledge and unique background will benefit our clients across a variety of industries.”
Laukenmann comes to Foley from the law firm of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. He worked there as a partner in their corporate and securities practice. He began work at the firm in 2000.
