We have come across a video online of a politician who decided to be brutally honest in a political ad. It really does not get any better than this either. The politician talks about net neutrality and he ends the video by saying that he he will approve any political message for the right price.
Fulbright is a fake politician in the state of Kentucky who has created an honest campaign. Fulbright is played by actor Frank Ridley and the character was created by represent.us, which is a group in favor of limiting money in politics.
Fulbright plans to announce his candidacy for the Senate at the Fancy Farm Picnic in Western Kentucky on August 2.
The transcript of his commercial is below:
“If we do away with net neutrality, then the Internet will become a place where people with a lot of money will have unfair advantages over everyone else. But I say if it works in Washington, why not the Internet? If Comcast and Time Warner want to turn the tap down on you and your cat videos, that’s fine with old Gil, as long as they open up the fire hose of those sweet, sweet campaign donations. I’m Gil Fulbright and for the right price, I’ll approve any message.”
