Summary: A contestant on the reality show Dating Naked, Jessie Nizewitz, has filed a lawsuit against Viacom and VH1 for an unblurred shot of her crotch on an episode of the show.
One of the cast members of Dating Naked is suing the parent company of VH1, Viacom, for breach of contract, according to a report from People. The suit stems from the network airing footage of Jessie Nizewitz au naturel.
The lawsuit was filed in Manhattan and it names two production companies because a shot of Nizewitz’s crotch was not blurred out and it was aired on television.
Nizewitz, who is a model, said she was promised by producers that shots of her body that were not G-rated would be concealed.
The issue arose on the third episode of the show. Nizewitz and her date were wrestling naked in the sand, which is when her crotch was shown on TV.
According to the lawsuit, Nizewitz suffered “severe emotional distress, mental anguish, humiliation, and embarrassment” after the mistake by the network and its parent company.
“I felt lied to, manipulated and used. I was horrified,” Nizewitz told the New York Post, adding, “I immediately started getting text messages. Everyone saw it.”
Nizewitz also said that the appearance on the show ruined a romance of hers.
“He never called me again after the show aired,” she said. “I would have hoped we could have had a long-term relationship.”
She is asking for $10 million in damages from Viacom.
