Dickinson Wright PLLC announced that Attorney Frederick M. Cummings has joined the firm’s Phoenix office as a Member. Before joining Dickinson Wright he was a member of the Management Committee and a former Chairman of the Litigation Department of Jennings, Strouss & Salmon. He worked there for more than 13 years.
Cummings has extensive trial experience in the areas of healthcare, medical malpractice and medical products liability defense litigation.
In his healthcare/medical malpractice defense practice, he has represented Arizona hospitals and more than 600 physicians and dentists in malpractice suits before federal and state courts and in disciplinary and licensing proceedings before the state licensing boards.
He has also defended lawsuits on behalf of medical products manufacturers, distributors and retailers against products liability claims.
Cummings is recognized as a leader in his field by Best Lawyers in America, Southwest Super Lawyers, and Top Lawyers List (Healthcare) for Arizona Business.
He is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America and a member of the American Bar Association, Maricopa County Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Zoological Society.
Frederick Cummings received his B.S. from Georgetown University and his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center.
