Hogan Lovells announces that Lewis Cohen has joined the firm’s Finance Practice as a partner in the New York office. Cohen joins Hogan Lovells from Clifford Chance, where he served as partner since 1997.
Mr. Cohen has practiced in New York throughout his entire career. His practice has focused on complex international capital markets transactions. He has handled varying transactions over the course of his career, including debt and equity capital markets, structured finance, and securitization. He has performed work for issuers and underwriters. Mr. Cohen has particular expertise in innovative and cutting-edge financings.
In addition to his practice, Mr. Cohen also speaks at many engagements on regulatory matters that impact the structured finance sector. He has represented many trade associations in developing advocacy positions for their industries. Furthermore, he is a pioneer of the Mexican FIBRA sector, which is one of the fastest growing areas of Latin American capital markets. Mr. Cohen has three clients in this market.
