McKenna Long & Aldridge announced on Monday that the firm has significantly strengthened its Government Practice in Los Angeles with the addition of two new partners and relocation of Todd Canni from the Washington D.C. office of the firm. Canni, who works as counsel is the former Director, U.S. Air Force Suspension and Debarment Operations.
The new partners include Gary Chadick, former General Counsel at global avionics and communications company Rockwell Collins, Inc., and Ariana Sarabia, former Chief Counsel at global construction firm Gillbane Federal.
Jeffrey Haidet, McKenna Chairman said on the lateral moves, “Adding Gary, Ariana and Todd to our contractor group in Los Angeles is a significant development for our clients … Their combined industry experience and skill set is extraordinary …”
Chadick, who served for almost 13 years as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Rockwell Collins will be a leader of the firm’s West Coast General Counsel practice and will provide ethics and compliance advice and services to global clients. Chadick began his legal career working as an associate at McKenna, and for him it is a kind of homecoming.
Sarabia worked as Chief Counsel, Corporate Ethics & Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary at Gilbane Federal. Before joining Gilbane, she was Western Regional Counsel for MACTEC and Environmental Counsel for Potlatch Corporation. Before entering the legal industry, Sarabia worked as an engineer in the aerospace industry.
