She also completed disposition, acquisition, and joint venture transactions in excess of $3.2 billion.
Ms. McMahon’s clients have included those in the infrastructure, mining, energy, and commodities sectors. She is fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese, which has allowed her to represent multinational clients in cross-border deals in Latin America.
Poe Leggette, the newest co-chair of BakerHostetler’s Energy and Shale practice, said, “At a time when the Mexican energy sector is opening to upstream investments, Laura’s unique skills will be invaluable to the firm’s energy clients. We have made huge strides in the last few months to continue to grow the firm’s national reputation in the energy space, and Laura will greatly contribute to that effort given her skill set and geographic location in the world’s energy capital.”
John Gherlein, the chair of BakerHostetler’s Business Group, added, “Laura’s breadth of experience, both domestically and internationally, adds more depth to our already strong capital markets and transactional capabilities. Our clients will benefit from her industry expertise as well as her substantial experience in Latin America.”
