FisherBroyles announced on Wednesday the addition of former Viacom executive Joseph M. Saburn, energy executive Matthew T. Stanger and veteran business counsel Jay L. Siverberg as partners. They joined the New York office of the law firm.
Saburn was a former lead benefits counsel at Viacom and lead Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) counsel at AT&T. He represents and advises clients on a broad range of executive compensation and employee benefits issues. Saburn was a shareholder at Greenberg Traurig before moving in-house. Earlier in his career, he worked as an attorney at Squire Sanders.
Stanger is a former engineer and has close to two decades of experience in legal, engineering and business. He specializes in the practice areas of renewable energy, construction and land use. He worked previously as an attorney at Lauletta Birnbaum LLC. Stanger is also the co-founder and chief development officer of Bly Sky Power LLC, a privately held company with multiple holdings in the energy infrastructure space.
Siverberg is a well-known business lawyer with a diverse background. He is a regular general counsel to established and emerging businesses and handles a wide variety of transactions ranging from startups to mergers and acquisitions. He is also an experienced business insolvency attorney. Previously, Silverberg was a member of the corporate practice group of Sills, Cummis & Gross PC. Early in his career, he was a member of corporate and insolvency practice groups at Proskauer Rose.
