Summary: The law firm of Morrison & Foerster has been named the International Law Firm of the Year for 2014 by China Law & Practice.
The law firm of Morrison & Foerster was recognized on September 18 at the China Law & Practice awards. According to a press release, the firm was bestowed with the International Law Firm of the Year for Real Estate award.
“The China Law & Practice Awards celebrates innovation, complexity and market impact of the firms and deals nominated. We are truly honored to receive this award, which recognizes MoFo as a market leader and the go to shop for complex real estate matters in China at a time when sophisticated sponsors and companies focus on and invest in the country.” said Eric Piesner, managing partner of the firm for Asia and the head of the firm’s Asia real estate practice.
The firm also received multiple nominations for its China Real Estate team as individual members Gregory Tan and Maria Wang received nominations. Tan was nominated as a finalist in the Real Estate Lawyer of the Year category. Wang was nominated for the award of Rising Star for Real Estate.
The Greater China practice of Morrison & Foerster provides real estate legal services in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai. The firm employs more than 25 real estate attorneys in five offices across Asia.
