Summary: Two women from Louisiana have been booked for having group sex with a 16-year-old male student.
Another case of a female teacher seducing a male student has arisen, this time involving two women from Louisiana engaging a 16-year-old boy in group sex. Rachel Respess, 24, and Shelley Dufresne, 32, have been accused of having a ménage a trois on Sept. 12 after a highschool football game. Predictably, the boy bragged of the event to his friends, alerting school officials who, ultimately contacted the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The Kenner police filed a report claiming that “Dufresne had sexual contact with the student more than once before their alleged ménage a trois Sept. 12,†in fact, she had been charged for it a day before the two were arrested on Wednesday. The report also explained that Dufresne “’enticed and transported’ the teen to Respass’s apartment, with the purpose of engaging in sexual acts…At the apartment, the boy told police, he had sex with both women. While Respess was having intercourse with him, Dufresne “’began intimately kissing (Respess) in an attempt to arouse all parties involved, all who were completely disrobed.’â€
Police are investigating a rumor this event was also recorded on video.
The two teachers were friends, and both of them had been teachers to the boy, with Dufresne teaching his English class in the 2013-2014 school year.
Kenner Police Chief Michael Glaser said “If this was two male teachers and a female student, the community would be outraged. It should have the same outrage.â€
Though prosecutors have not yet formally charged the women, they were booked Wednesday on charges of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, indecent behavior with a juvenile, and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. They could mean up to 17 and ½ prison sentence as well as the required registration as sex offenders.
Though Respess’s attorney, Jeffrey Smith, vouches for his client’s innocence, the teachers have meanwhile been suspended without pay. Further, Glaser claims Respess made a statement to police that amounted “almost†to a confession, lacking only “intricate details.â€
“She gave a similar account of his story [as the boy had given],†said Glaser. “But she stopped short of total confession.â€
Not only is 16-years of age below the age of consent in Louisiana, but teachers are barred from having sex with students between the ages of 17-21 as well. The school so far could not be reached for comments.
