Summary: Actor Stephen Collins, best known for his time on “7th Heaven,” has been heard on audio tape confessing to sexually abusing minors and exposing himself multiple times.
Stephen Collins, one of the stars of “7th Heaven,” reportedly confessed to molesting and exposing himself to three young girls, according to The Huffington Post and TMZ.
The audio was obtained by TMZ and was recorded as Collins confessed to his estranged wife, Faye Grant.
Grant secretly recorded the therapy session back in 2012 and the couple is in the middle of a long divorce right now.
The NYPD has the audio tape and has launched an official criminal investigation into Collins for “inappropriate sexual contact with minors.”
Collins is heard on the tape admitting that he molested an 11-year-old relative of his first wife, Marjorie Weinman.
“There was one moment of touching where her hand, I put her hand on my penis,” Collins said. He also said that he exposed himself to the girl multiples times.
In light of this news, Collins was dropped from the movie “Ted 2,” according to Entertainment Weekly.
An investigation into Collins was launched by the LAPD in November of 2012. Their investigation began on October 7 of that year, but was closed because no victim could be verified.
Collins has also resigned from his position with the National Board of the Screen Actors Guild.
