Summary: A nurse in Italy is being charged with killing up to 38 patients who annoyed her.
A nurse in Italy may have killed as many as 38 of her patients for being “annoying.”
Europics Police are investigating nurse Daniela Poggiali, 42, for scores of mysterious patient death. They were first alerted after 78-year-old Rosa Colderoni showed up for routine diabetic work and suddenly died. Investigation discovered the woman died from an overdose of potassium chloride, as the Huffington Post reported.
Not only do police believe Poggiali killed her patients because she found them or their families “annoying,” they even discovered selfies of her on her phone alongside the corpses, including one of her giving a thumbs-up sign.
She posted another such selfie online with the caption “Brrr…mmm…life and death….mmmm,” as Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera reported.
Of the 38 deaths police are investigating, 10 of them are considered “very suspicious.”
Police claim she also slipped standard sedatives to certain patients so they wouldn’t bother her, and once administered strong laxatives to a colleague’s patient to give the other nurse more work.
Not only is Poggiali being held in an Italian jail on murder charges, but she may also be charged for disrespecting the dead.
