Summary: The Peruvian firm of Estudio Gonzales & Asociados will combine with Littler beginning on November 1, 2014.
Littler announced via a press release earlier today that it will combine with Estudio Gonzalez & Asociados in Peru. The combination will become effective on November 1 of this year.
“As our clients are increasingly operating throughout the world, and consequently face new challenges in managing their workforces, an on the ground presence in key global markets has been critical to our ability to meet and anticipate their needs,” said Tom Bender and Jeremy Roth, co-managing directors of Littler. “Estudio Gonzalez & Asociados is one of the most prominent and respected labor and employment practices in Peru and gives Littler expanded capabilities in this important South American jurisdiction, further strengthening our position as the single-source solution provider for the global employer community.”
Estudio Gonzalez & Asociados is headquartered in Lima and led by senior partner César Gonzáles Hunt. Hunt has been representing clients regarding social security, labor and pension issues for more than 20 years.
Hunt has represented multiple sections of the Peruvian government, including the Congress of the Republic, the National Pension Office and the Ministry of Economy and Finance on employment issues.
Hunt also works as a professor of labor law at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.
