The law firm of Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP announced via a press release this morning that Catherine Grevers Schmidt has joined the firm as a partner in the Individual Client Services Group.
Grevers Schmidt will operate out of the firm’s New York office. Her practice will focus on estate planning and administration, charitable foundations, trusts and tax advice. She comes to the firm from Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP. While at Patterson Belknap, she worked as the chair of the Trusts and Estates Group.
“Cathy’s expertise and knowledge of complex estate planning and extensive experience administering large estates will be a great asset to our practice,” William D. Zabel, the Schulte Roth & Zabel founding partner, said. Zabel is also the head of the Individual Client Services Group.
Grevers Schmidt said, “Schulte Roth & Zabel has a long history as a leader in providing the highest level of trusts and estates advice. I am thrilled to join this group for which I have so much respect.”
Grevers Schmidt earned her law degree from New York University School of Law, an Ed.M. from Harvard University and a B.S. from Georgetown University.
