Summary: Kramer Levin has announced via a press release on Wednesday that it has promoted Eric Tirschwell and Paul Schoeman to serve as co-chairs of the White Collar Defense and Investigations Group.
The law firm of Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP announced this week that Paul H. Schoeman and Eric A. Tirschwell have been promoted within the firm, according to a press release.
The two have been named co-chairs of the law firm’s White Collar Defense and Investigations Group. Both men are former prosecutors.
“I’ve enjoyed watching Paul and Eric develop into two superb and highly respected white-collar defense lawyers since their arrival at the firm,” said Gary P. Naftalis, co-chair of the Firm and the Litigation Department. “Their promotions illustrate the depth of our White Collar group and provide a strong foundation for the group’s continued success litigating the nation’s most significant white-collar cases.”
Barry H. Berke, the co-chair of the law firm’s Litigation Department said, “Paul and Eric have achieved tremendous success representing a broad array of institutions and individuals in both trial and investigative matters, and our clients will benefit from their experience and leadership.”
Schoeman and Tirschwell take over for Berke and Naftalis, who were serving as co-chairs of both the White Collar Defense and Investigations Group and the Litigation Department.
Schoeman represents clients regarding civil, criminal and regulatory cases and investigations involving money laundering, white-collar crime, securities fraud, insider trading, tax evasion, accounting fraud and healthcare fraud.
Tirschwell represents clients regarding regulatory and criminal investigations. He is the chair of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee.
