Melinda McLellan has joined the law firm of BakerHostetler in the New York office, according to a press release. McLellan will work in the Privacy and Data Protection team for the firm. She joins the firm from Hunton & Williams.
McLellan centers her practice around cybersecurity and privacy issues for clients in the industries of financial services, healthcare, telecommunications, retail, online advertising, energy, transportation, mobile marketing and technology.
“Melinda brings increased depth to our Privacy and Data Protection team. She has extensive experience in developing compliance strategies as technology evolves,” said Ted Kobus, Co-Leader of the firm’s Privacy and Data Protection team. “Each new addition to our team is a direct result of client demand.”

Some of her cases have involved the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the CAN-SPAM Act requirements, the Federal Trade Commission’s Telemarketing Sales Rule and National Do-Not-Call Registry.

McLellan earned her law degree from Harvard Law School.
