Burton has been visiting Manson in prison for the last nine years.
Burton said the wedding would have happened sooner if Manson hadn’t run into some trouble in prison. In February, he was charged with possession of a weapon, threatening staff and refused to provide staff with a urine sample.
Manson is not privy to conjugal visits. The couple is permitted to have 10 non-inmate guests at the wedding. Burton claims her fiance is innocent and that the wedding will take place in December.
“Y’all can know that it’s true,” she told ABC News. “It’s going to happen.”
“I love him,” she added. “I’m with him. There’s all kinds of things.
Manson is eligible for parole in 2027 and has been denied 12 times already. He is in jail after his original sentence of death was commuted when California briefly abolished the death penalty. He and three of his “Family” members were all sentenced to life in prison. The other three are Patricia Krenwinkle, Susan Atkins and Tex Watson.
