Granted is a comprehensive job posting site allowing you different ways of searching for jobs, lets you post your resume, and offers many different legal positions. The following five tips help give you the best chance at finding the perfect legal job on Granted.

1.       Browse the Job Listings

What
Where

Start by browsing the latest job listings, whether going by category, job title, or location. Try different ways of searching, as this can lead to a different variety of results. If you can’t find the job title you want, go through categories by clicking on Legal, and see if it is there.

2.       Be Specific

Start getting more specific instead of broad, by considering details you want in the position you find. Whether that means a specific job title, a company name or law firm you have in mind, or a city that is closest to your home. It is possible to use specifics in the different categories and ways of searching, as well as by incorporating keywords.

3.       Use Keywords

Entering keywords is a great way to find jobs with specific criteria you have. Make a list of things you’re looking for, with the most important factors at the top of the list. Start entering these keywords one at a time into the search bar on Granted, seeing what job listings you come up with. It can be anything from “law student” to “paid internship.”

4.       Use the Advanced Search

To get even more detailed, use the Advanced Search function. This lets you include all of a certain number of words, choose an exact phrase, or add other elements in a single search, such as location, industry, category, and job title.

5.       Post Your Resume

Finally, be sure to post your resume on the Granted site so employers can find you. Many times, they do the searching on their own, so having your resume with keywords to describe your qualifications helps you find a job.
