Summary: Two lawyers for a Jane Doe have filed a defamation lawsuit against Alan Dershowitz for his role in the Jeffrey Epstein case.
The Alan Dershowitz saga has gotten deeper as Dershowitz has been hit with a defamation lawsuit by an unidentified woman, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The lawsuit was filed by lawyers Bradley Edwards and Paul Cassell. They represent a woman who claims she had ‘sexual relations’ with Dershowitz at the direction of Jeffrey Epstein.

The lawsuit was filed in Florida circuit court. It states the following:
“Immediately following the filing of what the Defendant, DERSHOWITZ, knew to be an entirely proper and well-founded pleading, DERSHOWITZ initiated a massive public media assault on the reputation and character of BRADLEY J. EDWARDS and PAUL G. CASSELL accusing them of intentionally lying in their filing, of having leveled knowingly false accusations against the Defendant, DERSHOWITZ, without ever conducting any investigation of the credibility of the accusations, and of having acted unethically to the extent that their willful misconduct warranted and required disbarment.”

The lawsuit talks about an interview Dershowitz gave to CNN International. During the interview, Dershowitz called Cassell and Edwards “sleazy, unprofessional, unethical lawyers” who should know that their client is “lying through her teeth.”

When told about the lawsuit Tuesday, Dershowitz told WSJ Law Blog the following:
“This gives me a chance to litigate the case. I can expose their corruption,” he said. “I can show how fraudulent the allegations are. This makes my day.”
He said that the lawsuit lets his lawyers depose Cassell and Edwards and the supposed victim, identified only as Jane Doe #3.
Dershowitz has been trying to shoot down claims that came to light last week in a court filing that says he was part of Jeffrey Epstein’s prostitution ring. Epstein pled guilty to a charge of soliciting underage prostitutes. He pled guilty in 2008.

According to the new filing, Jane Doe #3 is looking to join the previous lawsuit. She said that Epstein ordered her to have ‘sexual relations’ with Dershowitz on a private plane, on a private island in the Caribbean, and homes in Palm Beach and New York City.
