Summary: We all leave a legacy on this world. You don’t have to be famous, you don’t have to write a book or start a huge company. What will yours be?
Recently I’ve been taking some time to sit back and really think about life, think about my life and what kind of person I want to be. I remember reading in a book a while back that we all leave a legacy on this world. You don’t have to be famous, you don’t have to write a book or start a huge company.
A legacy merely means that you’ve left your mark on this world: whether that’s making people feel special when you’re talking to them, raising children that go on to be good people and help others, or making a small impact in your community. To me, it means leaving this world a teeny bit better than it would have been had you never been in it.
So today, take a little time to sit down and think of how you want people to view you as a person, and think about what little happiness you want to leave behind. I love writing in a journal because it really forces me to think about things and write them down, being more specific than I would have in just my mind. Tape it up somewhere you’ll see to remind you of the person you want to be every day.
