Summary: Rapper Suge Knight has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run outside a burger shop in Compton, California.
Marion “Suge” Knight was taken into custody on Friday following a hit-and-run close to Los Angeles that left one person dead, according to Reuters.
The announcement was made by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Knight was booked at 3am and was being held in lieu of $2 million bail.

A man that fit the description of Knight drove to a burger shop, Tam’s Burgers, in Compton at 3pm on Thursday and started arguing with two people who were outside, according to Lieutenant John Corina of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The driver of the vehicle backed into one of the two people prior to running both of them over in a red Ford F-150 Raptor pickup truck. The driver then fled the scene.
Corina said that Knight had an altercation with the same two people at an earlier time. Knight is the co-founder of Death Row Records. The altercation reportedly stemmed from an argument Knight had with the two people on the set of N.W.A. biopic “Straight Outta Compton.”
The Sheriff’s Department said that one of the victims died at the hospital. The condition of the second victim is not known.

Corina said, “A red pickup truck is involved in this, and those people were also at the other altercation, so yes, it all suggests that he was the person driving that truck. It looks like he drove backward and struck the victims. And then went forward and struck them again as he left.”
Knight went to the West Hollywood station of the sheriff’s department for questioning with his attorney.
Not long after his arrival, the department sent the following tweet: “Homicide Detective have arrested Marion ‘Suge’ Knight for Murder.”
