The story is about Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher diagnosed with lung cancer that turns to dealing methamphetamine with a former student in an attempt to leave his family with money when he dies.

The spring issue of the New Mexico Law Review is using the AMC drama to examine the war on drugs, attorney-client communications, police practices, the hypothetical arrest of Walter White, and questionable practices of the defense lawyer in regards to the Fourth Amendment and ethics of professional lawyers.
