According to Variety, John Stamos had a rough weekend. On Friday, he was arrested for driving under the influence by the Beverly Hills Police Department after several calls were received about an erratic driver. According to TMZ, Stamos was driving a silver Mercedes that matched the description.
Lamar Odom was arrested for DUI in 2013.
Stamos was pulled over on Beverly Drive a short while later. Stamos was alone in the vehicle.
Due to concerns over a possible medical condition, Stamos was taken to a local hospital, where it was confirmed that he was driving under the influence. He was arrested at the hospital for DUI, was issued a citation, and was released to the hospital.
David Cassidy received a felony DWI in 2013.
Stamos will appear in court on September 11 to respond to the charges. The trial date comes just a few weeks before his new sitcom, “Grandfathered,” will air on Fox. Stamos is also set to appear in “Fuller House,” a Netflix sequel to the popular “Full House” sitcom, next year. He will also present the 2015 Emmy nominations on July 16, along with Uzo Aduba, of “Orange is the New Black” fame. Stamos’ first role was in the TV series “General Hospital,” CNN adds.
Nelly was arrested for drug possession in April.
On Sunday, Stamos expressed gratitude to those who were concerned about him. Stamos tweeted, “Thanks to everyone for their love & support. I’m home & well. Very appreciative of the BHPD & Cedars for their care.”
