Summary: Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP is opening a new office in New York City to assist their corporate practices, adding Steve Hantz and Gillian Deutch to their team.
A New York office will be the 15th location for Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP. They have been planning for this office for several years. The new office will have several corporate practices that specialize in financial services. They will provide support for their Corporate Group’s private equity, capital market, real estate, public securities, general corporate, and mergers and acquisitions practices.
Steve Hantz, the Executive Director at JPMorgan Chase Bank, will be joining the real estate capital markets group. Hantz’s last seven years have been spent structuring loans and drafting loan term sheets with loan originators. He worked directly with borrowers and their attorneys to draft and negotiate the term sheets. His most recent work was managing loan closings and sale and securitization of the loans.
Gillian Deutch will be joining Hantz. She has experience in real estate and corporate finance from working at other New York firms.
The firm’s capital markets group is based out of the Atlanta and Charlotte offices, but Hantz will assist them from his location in the New York office. This team specializes in analyzing, closing, documenting, servicing, warehousing, selling commercial and multifamily mortgage loans, and staging. Their clients are international, regional, national, state, community banks, mortgage brokers, insurance companies, institutional lenders, and master and special loan services. The team works closely with the business transaction, ERISA, tax, securitization, and business reorganization lawyers from the firm.
Nelson Mullins has over 500 attorneys and other professionals in their many offices.
