Summary: Four partners have joined the firm in its Toronto location.
DLA Piper (Canada) LLP is pleased to announce that four partners have joined the firm in its Toronto office. Robert Fonn, Vaughn MacLellan, Derek Sigel and Kevin Fritz will start at the firm on August 1, 2015.
Robert, Vaughn and Derek will join the securities and corporate finance group, and Kevin will join the tax practice.
Chris Schaeper has joined the Houston office.

Robert Fonn focuses on corporate and securities law, primarily relating to mergers and acquisitions mandates and corporate finance. He advises on business law and securities matters, especially domestic and cross-border corporate finance and merger and acquisition transactions.
The firm has also recently expanded its practice in Perth, Australia.
Vaughn handles securities and corporate finance and corporate/commercial law matters. He advises issuers and investment dealers on general securities law matters, with an emphasis on corporate finance, securities compliance, and mergers and acquisitions matters. Vaughn has represented clients in numerous industries, including mining, real estate, and technology.
Derek centers his practice on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions in the telecommunications, electronic commerce, technology, broadcasting and resource sectors. He has handled public and private financings, stock exchange listings, corporate reorganizations, venture capital fund formation, and stockholder arrangements.
Kevin focuses on tax law, including corporate and personal tax planning. His practice especially focuses on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and business restructurings. He has also handled the tax structuring of mutual funds, income trusts, and other investment products. His clients have included Crown corporations, individuals, governments, businesses, and financial institutions of both an international and domestic nature.
DLA Piper recently merged with Davis LLC.
