Wealth management litigator Christen Douglas joined McDermott Will & Emery as partner in the Private Client Group. Douglas will be working out of the New York office. She comes to McDermott from another AmLaw 100 law firm where she as a senior associate.
She will be practicing in trust and estate planning, litigation, and administration. She provides advice to families and individuals on estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxation, philanthropic planning, and family business succession.
Douglas started her legal career in Los Angeles as a litigator. She understands the technical parts of estate and tax planning as well as how to successful courtroom litigation strategies, making her a valuable asset to the firm and their clients.
She received her J.D. in 2007 from the University of Virginia School of Law and her LL.M. in 2011 from New York University School of Law. She is allowed to practice in California, New York and Pennsylvania.
The Private Client Practice Group at McDermott serves very affluent individuals and families that have intricate challenges, requiring experienced attorneys to advise them.
