Summary: Highly awarded litigator Adrian Yip is leaving Winston & Strawn to be a partner with Morrison & Foerster.
In a press release from Morrison & Foerster, they announced that litigator Adrian Yip will be joining their Hong Kong office. Along with Yip, three associates, Cliff Mok, Jessica Chan, Gary Yu Zeng will be joining the firm’s office.
Yip will be welcomed as a partner in the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice. He brings almost 25 years of experience in asset recovery, compliance and corporate restructuring, intellectual property and licensing disputes, and internal investigations. He has worked with clients in international arbitrations that have gone before groups such as the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission and the International Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Yip has also dealt a great deal with criminal prosecutions, shareholder disputes, FCPA-related investigations, competition law, and other contentious matters. He will be focusing his practice on cross-border disputes between Hong Kong and China and complex commercial litigation.
Mok, Chan, and Zeng make up a trilingual group that speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. They have over 15 years of experience with disputes and cross-border arbitration and investigation issues in Hong Kong.
Mr. Yip is coming from the Hong Kong office of Winston & Strawn where he was the leader of the firm’s Asia Litigation group. He received his LL.B. in 1988 from Hong Kong University and his post-graduate legal certificate a year later from the same place.
