Bryan Loocke, an experienced oil and gas lawyer will be joining Vinson & Elkins where he will be advising corporate and private equity clients in energy from the Houston office. Loocke is leaving Bracewell & Giuliani LLP where he primarily worked with oil and gas financing issues. At Bracewell, Locke worked with purchasers, sellers, private equity funds, lenders, borrowers, exploration and production companies, and developers in the oil and gas industries.

Loocke will focus on unconventional and shale oil and gas, the Gulf of Mexico, and joint venture transactions by working with clients on mergers and acquisitions, farmouts, sales, operating agreements, rig procurement, gathering and transportation agreements, leasing, procurement and construction, engineering, production and development, exploration, and production payments.
Loocke received his J.D. degree from the University of Texas School of Law. He received his B.A. from St. Edward’s University.
