Summary: Foley & Lardner’s Silicon Valley team gained experienced intellectual property counselor Mark Danielson.
Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP lost Mark Danielson to Foley & Lardner. He will be a partner in the Silicon Valley office. Danielson is an intellectual property lawyer that specializes in electronics.
His experience is in a variety of technologies such as computer hardware and software, signal processing, network systems, data communications, microprocessors and architectures, thin film devices and fabrication methods, cloud computing and alternative energy, and computational lithography. He will continue to focus his practice on post-grant proceedings, patent prosecution, and counseling services for clients that range from Fortune 500 companies to early start-ups.
Danielson worked in engineering positions at IBM, Georgia Tech Research Institute, GTE Corporation, and Texas Instruments before becoming a lawyer. These positions gave him knowledge of digital signal processing, radar systems, embedded processors, and object-oriented software development.
Chair of Foley’s Intellectual Property Department, Michele Simkin, says “Mark’s combination of electronics industry knowledge and legal experience allows him to counsel clients through technically complex issues. His unique engineering background will benefit our clients in the growing tech community.”
