Summary: After 22 years of being in the Sacramento market, Lewis Brisbois is making the change to a bold new location with signage.
Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP is making a bold jump after sitting quietly in the Sacramento market for the past 22 years. The firm is moving locations from their office in Natomas for the past six years to the seventh floor of the “Gateway 2020” high-rise off Interstate 5. Their name will even sit on the top of the building, something most law firms don’t get on Capitol Mall.
Managing partner Joseph Salazar stated “We were looking for a spot with better visibility – and a step closer to downtown. One attraction was the ability to get signage.” They signed a lease for ten years for a 22,000 square foot office space with the option for more space. Jonathan Larsen brokered the deal.
Lewis Brisbois was an insurance defense litigation firm that has developed into a full service firm. They have 36 locations in 21 states, six of which are in California. Their Sacramento office provides commercial litigation, environmental, labor and employment, professional liability, construction, intellectual property, and more.
Lewis Brisbois is the twelfth largest firm in Sacramento with 21 lawyers but they expect to grow “aggressively” over the next few years.
As Larsen says “The space is about the same as they have now, but it’s more efficient.”
