Littler Mendelson is the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management. They are opening a new 53,000 square foot facility in Kansas City, Missouri to serve all of their offices with support in operations like accounting, finance, human resources, knowledge management, marketing, litigation support, information technology operations, and risk management.
The facility is two floors at 2301 McGee Center at Crown Center. The design of the building was to allow for growth with it already holding 275 employees. There are spaces for cubicle office spaces, training rooms, focus rooms, and areas for formal and impromptu gatherings.
The facility also boosts new technology that cultivates an environment of collaboration, connectedness, and innovation. Employees can access the system from anywhere within the building, allowing for better brainstorming and flexibility. Employees can choose what type of environment they want to work in, whether that is in public zones, a large café, or quieter work spaces.
The firm’s Administrative Management and Operations, Attorney Recruiting and Development, Human Resources, Technology Infrastructure, Applications/Development, Client Relations, Finance, Information Security & Information Management, Littler Learning Group, Knowledge Management, Litigation Support, Littler CaseSmart Intake, Library Research, and Risk Management departments.
Littler considered several places before deciding on Kansas City. The central location time zone, quality and diversity of the workforce, and cost benefits ultimately helped them make the decision.
