Summary: Boise is about to have another law program in town if the University of Idaho gets approval from the State Board of Education and ABA for a full program to start in 2017.
The University of Idaho has been planning and trying to make a law school in Boise happen for quite some time. The school has announced that they hope to have one up and running by 2017. The Boise campus already offers second and third year classes but not a complete program yet.
The university is still waiting for approval from the State Board of Education and the American Bar Association. If they get the approval, Boise and Moscow, the university’s main campus, will offer full law programs.
The Boise campus currently has around 105 students while the main campus in Moscow has around 250. The university transformed the old Ada County Courthouse to hold classes and contain the Idaho State Law Library. The building is now called the Idaho Law and Justice Learning Center.
In 2008, the University of Idaho Boise campus was only granted the third year by the State Board of Education. The third-year program opened in 2010. A second year was then added four years later.

Concordia University School of Law has had their Boise campus going for four years. They only achieved provisional accreditation status by the ABA last spring right before their first group of students graduated. This means that the graduates will be able to take the Idaho State Bar exam. The law school has 100 students.
