Cooley LLP has lost an experienced tax practitioner to Fox Rothschild Stanley Barsky will be joining the New York office as a partner in their Taxation and Wealth Planning Department. Barsky is the latest lateral hire in the last few months.
The New York office of Fox Rothschild has seen a surge in lateral hires with the recent additions of Barry S. Schaevitz, William R. Hansen, Bridget A. Short, Paul J. Labov, and Suzanna M.M. Morales. The firm is looking to “continually expand the breadth of legal services we offer in New York, Stanley further bolsters our capabilities.”
He has been ranked in Super Lawyers’ New York Metro Rising Stars from 2012 to 2015. His practice focuses on providing a wide range of transactional and general advisory tax law matters. He works mostly with clients that have taxable and tax-free acquisition and disposition issues on assets and equity interests. He also does a great deal with bankruptcy tax planning, international tax matters, tax accounting, partnership tax matters, and taxation of consolidated groups.
Barsky earned his B.S. from Vanderbilt University in 2003, his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 2006, and his L.L.M. from New York University School of Law in 200.
