Summary: Former attorney and prison warden Alan Abadie has been jailed for child pornography.
Imagine being an inmate in the jail where you were once the warden. It’s exactly what happened to Alan Abadie this week after he was caught with child pornography.
Two years ago in Los Angeles, California, Abadie was charged with felony child endangerment. The former lawyer pleaded no contest, then surrendered his law license and was placed on probation for three years.
Investigators have been looking into him ever since, and have concluded he was in possession of child pornography while in Louisiana too. Officials have been investigating the former attorney and prison warden since 2011.
Abadie was once the director of security at Loyola University. He worked as a warden in the St. Bernard and Lafourche parishes. He’s also a former adviser to former St. Bernard Parish President Junior Rodriguez.
Abadie was arrested on October 14, 2014, with bond set at $300,000. His law license has been revoked in Louisiana as well as California.
